What Is the ECO4 Grant Scheme?
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to tackle fuel poverty and help reduce carbon emissions.
Under ECO, medium and larger energy suppliers fund the installation of energy efficiency measures in British households.
The obligated energy suppliers work with installers to introduce certain energy efficiency measures into your home, such as heating and insulation measures, including gas or electric central heating and wall insulation.
ECO4 is the 4th stage of the ECO scheme and is set to run between April 2022 and March 2026 or until government targets are met.

Is this scheme completely free?
Yes! The ECO4 scheme was launched in April 2022 funded by the UK Government and energy companies as part of the obligation to reach net zero by the Government deadline. As part of the scheme, over 3.5 million properties across the UK qualify for FREE upgrades to make their property more energy efficient. This is fully funded as part of the ECO4 scheme and you do not have to pay a single penny.
Who is eligible for the scheme?
There are over 3.5 million homes across the UK eligible for the scheme. We have a simple eligibility checker which tells you in just 30 seconds whether you are eligible for the scheme. We do not require any personal information to tell you whether you are eligible.
Do I need a specific EPC rating to qualify?
Yes. At the moment, the eligibility criteria states that we cannot help people with EPC ratings that are A, B, or C. This is because we must prioritise those people who have EPC ratings of E, F and G, or do not have one at all. Our advisors will check your EPC certificate for you as part of the application process.
How do I know if I qualify?
